There are Two Types of Pumps: Water and Sewage

Water:

A submersible water pump provides efficient trouble free service for extended or continuous use in moving large volumes of water. It is available with thermal overlaid protection in manual or automatic models, with epoxy coated cast iron pump housing and oil-filled motor housing. Both are ideal for use in excavation, crawl spaces, basements, underground passageways, loading docks, grain elevators, construction sites, cooling towers and other locations which require a high volume of water to be dispersed. This type of sump pump is also useful during fire cleanup.

Sewage:

A submersible sewage pump is specifically engineered to handle tough, demanding tasks of effluent and sewage waste transfer with high efficiency and long term dependability. It is appropriate for residential, commercial, industrial and agricultural applications with light to medium transfer demands. Applications include dewatering, effluent waste, wastewater and sewage handling where materials must be moved upward from a collection area to sewer, septic lines or drainage areas.
