Jerry McElroy

Chairman of the Board

In 1973, McElroy's founder, Homer McElroy, handed the company reigns to his son, Jerry, who ran McElroy's for 32 years. During that span, Jerry was the driving force behind McElroy's growth into one of region's most successful mechanical and construction service providers. Today, Jerry serves as Chairman of the Board, and is also actively involved in the Topeka community.

Jerry's experience in the business dates back to his junior high days, when he'd stop in after school to help his father clean the shop. By high school he was in the field installing HVAC equipment. During the years leading up to becoming president, Jerry led many departments across the company. In 1973, as company president, Jerry's leadership keyed McElroy's steady growth, while his commitment to his father's customer-first vision served as the company's foundation. The McElroy family's leadership and vision continue on at McElroy's, as well as at the four related businesses Jerry has started.

As Chairman of the Board, Jerry provides operational oversight and ongoing support to company president, Dan Beal. In addition, Jerry holds key positions on the boards of numerous local organizations, including:
