PrefabricationVirtual Design & Construction

Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) involves computer programs that are used to create and manipulate incredibly detailed 3-D views of the various components integral to any construction project. McElroy’s has many in-house engineers and team members with extremely high levels of VDC proficiency. Using Building Information Modeling (BIM) technology, for example, they can ensure that mechanical system designs will fit and work as planned, and will not clash with other utilities and structures going into the project. This saves significant time and money by catching problems before construction even begins. BIM designs are also the essential foundation for mechanical system prefabrication. McElroy’s invests heavily in the latest VDR software and training. It’s an investment that pays for itself – saving our clients time, money and headaches.
