Headquarters Total Renovation

Topeka, KS 35,717 SQ FT

Completed: November 01, 2020

Originally chartered in 1959, CoreFirst Bank & Trust had occupied its iconic Topeka headquarters building since the 1970s. When it came time for a total renovation, everything was stripped down to the walls. McElroy’s was the Design-Build firm for all mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) systems.

We replaced the entire mechanical plant, all plumbing and ductwork, and completely rewired the building. We installed three high-efficiency boilers, an air-cooled chiller, hydronic pumping systems and two variable-air-volume (VAV) air-handling units serving fan-powered boxes for zone control with hot-water reheat.

McElroy’s designed, installed and programmed the Solidyne building automation system. For added employee/customer safety and peace of mind, we installed an in-duct Ultraviolet-C air purification system.
